Our development process has been designed to ensure that, at each stage of a project, all parties are fully informed of the current project status, and fully understand their respective requirements for time and resource commitments. This process has been devised through our experience in managing interactive projects for a range of clients across a variety of platforms and deliveries, including the World Wide Web Interactive DVDs and CD-ROMs.

Strategic Review
At the start of this phase you will meet with the project manager and team to discuss your requirements. The team may include graphics designers, programmers etc. Each team is assembled according to the project requirements. We will work together with you to discover and understand the business purpose behind your project, including your customers' requirements, create a project brief and agree the scope of work. At the same time terms of business will be agreed and contracts finalised.
Credentials
An introduction to Cooltide Interactive, our clients and our services. NDA Non-Disclosure Agreements are signed to ensure complete client confidentiality. Contract Standard Terms of Business are presented and amended where necessary

Scope of Work
Initial objectives and project deadlines are established and final delivery date established. Success Criteria The key objectives that must be met to ensure the success of the project .

|
|
Specification
(Foundation) During this phase we will devise the 'blueprint' for our deliverables. We will recommend resources, techniques and technologies and time-scales required. This then generates a project proposal document and cost structure, providing you with an analysis of skills and personnel allocated to your project team and identifying related work-streams. The technical appraisal will specify platform and application requirements. Our creative submissions will illustrate branding treatments and provide you with a user-interface rationale. We will make recommendations for end-user research (Beta Testing) and a schedule of activities will be agreed.
Project plan
A detailed project gannt chart will be created. This will document resource allocation, work-streams, delivery milestones and relevant project dependencies.
|
|
|
|
Budget
All related costs are collated into the project budget. Day rates are provided together with any sub-contract costs that may be required. Every effort is made to ensure transparency with few or no 'hidden' charges.
Project team
Selecting the right team mix will depend on project requirements.
Creative brief
Our creative team will work with your brand custodian to become fully conversant with your marketing practices, design guidelines and communication strategies. All creative output will adhere to the core brand guidelines.
Technical brief
Our technical team will produce an assessment of the project requirements, technical specification and functionality, including employed technology advantages and restrictions, compatibility issues and platform specification.
Sign off
As a collated document, the specification is presented to the client team and signed-off, prior to starting in the production phase.

| |
|
|

|
|
Design and Build
Once the client has signed-off the specification, the third phase is then initiated. Using the specification as a template, technical and creative teams commence production. At agreed milestones, the project team will provide and install "Alpha" stage components for testing. Progress reviews will be scheduled and monitored by your project manager.
Initiate production
Once signed-off, the Specification is distributed to the creative and technical teams and the work begins.
Storyboards
To provide a visual reference to the project a Storyboard is created. This encapsulates initial creative thinking and site structure (see Navigation).
|
|
Navigation
Creating elegant, efficient interactive navigation systems requires specialised skills. Our detailed flow charts act in the same way as the Storyboards, providing a visual reference to the site's internal logical architecture.
Reporting
At regular review meetings creative, technical and production team members review work in progress and manage any change requests or enhancements. The Project Manager will document these meetings and prepare client contact reports.
Change orders
Any suggestions or requests, which impact on the agreed scope of work, are submitted to Cooltide as a change request document. We will respond immediately with any amendments that need to be incorporated and highlight cost and delivery implications.
Application template
To ensure that the application functionality is clearly understood our programming team will submit detailed templates that specify the full technical requirement of each application.
Alpha and Beta testing
Interim deliveries of test versions are delivered in accordance with the schedule of work. Alpha testing is used for internal presentations only. The final task is to schedule time and resource for a Beta test programme prior to publication or release.
Quality Assurance
Pre-delivery testing will be scheduled to ensure the delivery is robust, fully functional, accurate and acceptable to you the client.
Sign off
Post QA, and prior to 'going live' a final project meeting will be called to sign-off the actual delivery.

|
|
Delivery
At the appointed time we will deliver the finished product and, if relevant, we will conduct client training sessions for administration. Following your acceptance of the delivery a Maintenance Schedule is then drawn up (if required) This will document support and response levels from Cooltide and itemize maintenance costs. Post delivery reviews will be scheduled (both internal and external) and documented.
Maintenance
Where on-going support is required, a maintenance contract is negotiated. This ensures our resources are at your disposal to accommodate any future enhancements or developments.
|
|
|
|
Installation support
Our technical team can, where required, provide assistance at various levels and work in partnership with your technical team.
Client training
We will provide on-site training when delivering "online content management" applications. This can be supported by hard copy documentation.
Client review
To ensure that all expected success criteria were met, a post delivery review is conducted to re-visit the original specification, schedule and budgets (If required).
