Hurtwood House Summer School is run in our family estate. The main house is a fine Edwardian mansion set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside high up in the Surrey Hills.

At Hurtwood House we have the most impressive facilities of any Summer School in England. Not only do we have a beautiful house and magnificent gardens, but we also have our own purpose-built theatre which we use for plays, cabarets and concerts. Last year the Summer School students were entertained by the "Spice Girls" (a tribute band, of course!).

We have 20 PCs connected to the Internet via a satellite uplink, and all of our classrooms are well equipped with audio-visual technology. Students also make considerable use of our high- tech filming equipment. We have a digital editing film studio where students are taught to use the latest digital cameras and they make pop videos (take a look at the video, it was made by our students). We have extensive sporting facilities on campus.

There are tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts a football pitch as well as all the usual indoor games such as table tennis, pool, and table football.
At Hurtwood House the staff and students live together in a happy family atmosphere. The mood is relaxed, informal and friendly. We have all the facilities of the larger institutions combined with the special atmosphere of
a family home.
